About Me

I’m a University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate currently living and working in Frankfurt, Germany, having returned from 5 weeks in Cambodia and Thailand (an experience brought about by freelance translation work, Couchsurfing and luck). Last year, I started this blog to document my ten months on a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship grant. At least, that’s what I write on my resume, but hey, that’s not all I’ve done!

In addition to working in communications, I’m a travel writer featured on sites like BootsnAll, CEA Global Education, Freshroads, Do It While You’re Young, Expat in Germany and PocketVillage. In my spare time you can find me on any number of dance floors and stages as a ballroom dancer and, occasionally, as an actress.

This blog is not an official publication of the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany, nor is it an official Department of State website or blog, and my views and the information presented on this blog and through the links contained in this blog are my own and do not represent AmCham Germany, the Fulbright Program or the U.S. Department of State.

Regardless, enjoy!
